In 2007, prior to our development work around the Healthcare Commission Review,  Mental Health Trusts within the West Midlands shared electronic copies of operational policies in use within Acute Inpatient settings.  The aim being to promote the sharing of knowledge and the effective development of policy. 

These can be downloaded as a compressed file - most computers have the built in software to open this file, simply download it to your pc and double click to de-compress and open.

Further West Midlands Regional Development Centre work is going on at present following up on the Healthcare Commission review of Acute Inpatient units, looking at setting operational standards around care co-ordination (particulalry the acute pathways) and care standards for all people admitted to MH hospitals.
