The Operational Standards developed through the Acute Programme (referring to the quality standards within the original Healthcare Commission Review Framework) have now been transposed into a set of Service Specifications including:
- Acute Inpatient (including Psychiatric Inpatient Units)
- Comunity Mental HealthTeams
- Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams
The specificutoins demonstrate a "Care System" approach where the operational standards are consistent across all of the functional teams thus avoiding and policy conflicts and systemic errors. The service specifications extract the auditiable indicators of the operational standards to support the commissionig of servcies the deliver the quality standards implicit in the HCC review.
Additionally we have developed an audit database for the speciifc purposes of WMRDC carrying out a re-audit of Acute Inpatient Services following our developement programme but we have incuded an edition for local use by Trusts to help their continuer local audits of acute inpatient services, additionally, this database can be used to support a local system for monitoring compliance with standards.
