I have recently joined the RDC as a Programme Specialist taking forward the national Transition Support Programme for the West Midlands Region.  The project aims to improve the experience of children, young people and their families and carers as they move  from using services for children with disabilities to adult services.  This includes health, social care and education services and aims to improve the quality of life and prospects for young people with disability by improving access to leisure and education facilities, housing and employment.

I have worked in and around the NHS for 20 years, originally in the area of Health Informatics and Healthcare Consultancy but after a lengthy career break to care for my family came to work in the West Midlands region in commissioning roles.  Firstly, in a Practice Based Commissioning role and then in Children's Joint Commission in Shropshire where I was involved in a number of service improvement projects in CAMHS.
