During 2009 Kevin Heffernan & Mark Rayne led on a project of service Improvement for managers of Community Development Workers. The programme ran for 5 days over a number of months

   Brainstorm & cluster successful project themes
   Self score project domains (baseline)
   Current reality/desired future for each domain
   What helps and what hinders for each domain

Day 2

   Communication styles questionnaire (individual & team matrix)
   Human dimensions of change. – working positively with diversity
   Prioritising action plans
   Gaining consensus as a team
   Introduction to the use of narrative gathering techniques

Day 3

  Stakeholders identification
  Celebrity stakeholders (traits)
  Power/interest matrix
  Outcome/communication template for individual stakeholder
  Anecdote circles using narrative gathering techniques

Day 4

  Process mapping
  Tools to map effectively
  Risk identification
  Risk priorities
  Risk management strategies
 

Day 5

  Group presentations on use of tools from programme
  Facilitation skills
  Evaluating using De Bono’s  6 hat theory
  Final day debrief
