Welcome to Mental Health, where we are working closely in partnership with Service Commissioners and Providers in the West Midlands, and with the advice and guidance of the National Mental Health Development Unit (NMHDU).
The NMHDU is supporting both the Department of Health and Strategic Health Authorities by advising on national and international best practice to improve mental health services and mental health. It does this by commissioning or providing:
- specialist expertise in priority areas of policy and delivery;
- effective knowledge transfer on research, evidence and good practice;
- support to translate national policies into practical deliverables which achieve the right outcomes; and
- co-ordination of national activity to help regional and local implementation.
